During the performance The Time Between Us, he’ll be building relationships with visitors and passers-by. Removing the divides between house and home, he welcomes you into his existence. He explores the possibility of being someone else. The area around KVS is a crossroads of the most diverse urban realities. A neighbourhood in the midst of change, creating a tension between organic evolution and gentrification.
This location-specific durational performance marks the first collaboration between director, author and visual artist Fernando Rubio and Pitcho Womba Konga. Rubio’s The Time Between Us premiered at the Parque de la Memoria in Buenos Aires, a memorial dedicated to the victims of the Argentine dictatorship. After stints at the Santiago a Mil Festival in Chile, the Singapore International Festival of Arts and the Theater der Welt Festival in Germany, we are happy to present the Belgian premiere.
