Numi Yaldati (Sleep, my girl) is an impressive, audio-focused installation. During the auditive story, drawings by Tom Clement (MartHa!tentatief) are projected. Scenographer Manu Siebens (known for his work at theatre collective BERLIN and MartHa!tentatief) and theatre creator Fien Leysen (who previously performed her Wat (Niet) Weg Is and Wie We Zijn at KVS) created this visual theatre installation together.

A homeless woman in 2020. A Jewish woman in 1942. From a distance, they are barely discernible from one another.

A homeless woman tries to escape the freezing cold. She seeks refuge in an empty apartment building. In a closet, she finds an old diary of a Jewish woman, who lived there during the war. The two timelines and stories start bleeding into each other. From a distance, they are barely discernible.

A fictional story about real subjects: poverty, family, loss, love, war and peace, and how these things so often look alike.

The performance duration is 30 minutes. Every half hour, a staff member guides the audience to their seats. Four people at a time can take place on the bench and listen to the creation through headphones.
