Burning City is a production by KVS face Junior Mthombeni, created in close collaboration with urban dramaturge Gerardo Salinas. This creation emerged from the SOCHA project—a community of performers from all generations, cultures, and disciplines, founded by Junior Mthombeni and Tom Kestens. Together, they created the On Fire series of performances. Burning City is the culmination of all On Fires: step into the new city in all its glory, rawness, and inequality…

Our reptile brain wants only one thing: survival. How can we find our way out of this turmoil? The answer is simple: make chaos. Put 15 artists with ADHD, autism, trauma, epilepsy, high sensitivity on a stage. Let us rise above, conquer all of this shit together for a moment, to emerge and change the world. 

Extra: Are you coming to watch Burning City on Tuesday, March 11? Then you're in for a jam! Those who want can stick around for an extra hour for an improv session with the cast – together, we'll turn it into a real party!

To make room for an impressive catwalk, we are clearing the venue and turning it into a standing performance. This way, you’ll experience the action as close as possible!

Do you need a seat for medical reasons? If so, please arrive half an hour before the start of the performance at KVS BOL. Our front-of-house team will make sure you have a seat.

ALBUMRELEASE 'HONGER' 

In Burning City kan je een aantal nummers van de hand van acteur, muzikant en rapper Marios Bellas horen. Op 5 februari '25 brengt hij Diep Gaan uit, de eerste single van zijn debuutalbum Honger (release 1 maart). Diep Gaan is een energieke track over late nachten doorwerken, moeilijkheden trotseren, offers maken en ver durven gaan om een visie te realiseren. Fan van de muziek in de voorstelling? Check dan zeker Diep Gaan en Honger!
