Hip hop dancers Doris and Nathalie Bokongo Nkumu, aka Les Mybalés, are familiar faces at KVS. They were part of Malcolm X and SLOW#03, and shared a work in progress of their first own dance creation with our audience twice last season. We now proudly present the Brussels premiere of this creation: À travers l’autre.

As twins, Les Mybalés are connected by a shared history and a deep complicity. Their power is in their duality. In this performance they investigate the meaning and symbolism of being twins in various cultures.

In their typical dance language, which pairs elegance and grace with moments of violent intensity, they create a poetic universe in which they incarnate various characters, from playing children to godly creatures.
