THE CINDERELLA TALKS
KVS and the Women’s Council will delve deeper into these issues in a panel discussion. Moderated by Anneleen Lemmens (Engagement Arts), several speakers will reflect on transgressive behaviour in the cultural sector. How do you address such behaviour if you are a victim? And how can managers and programme creators respond to it? Can works by creators who have faced controversy still be programmed?
The discussion will start with experiences from the cultural sector but will broaden outwards. Transgressive behaviour is a societal problem. Together, we will explore how we, as a society, can respond better and identify the steps needed to move forward.
Speakers:
- Anemone Valcke and Verona Verbakel – Creators of Het Ego
- Gerardo Salinas– City dramaturg at KVS
- Annick Deblauwe – Representative from the Flemish Reporting Centre for Transgressive Behaviour
Cinderella Talks is a collaboration between KVS and the Women’s Council to raise awareness around gender-based violence. Het Ego will be performed at KVS on 3 and 4 December. You can book your tickets here.
