ALICE TOEN: BIJ LEVEN EN WELZIJN / DE EEUW VAN TOEN
In July, Alice Toen celebrated her 100th birthday. She appropriately did so with her very first single - after a singing career of a century. Alice went into the studio, together with a number of excellent musicians to record the song Wat een weelde (written for her by Michael De Cock).
But then one thing led to another. Alice will present her first full-length album on December 22: De Eeuw van Toen. The Flemish Johnny Cash or Chavela Vargas? No, simply our very own Alice!
Together with some special guests, this grande dame presents the album with songs by Jacques Brel and Hank Williams, lyrics by Federico Garcia Lorca and Dylan Thomas.
Would you like to celebrate life and the arts with her, maybe with also a nice piece of cake? Then get your tickets now! Those who attended last time know that it is a unique experience.
Alice Toen looks forward to seeing you.
