THE CADELA FORÇA TRILOGY PART II: THE BROTHERHOOD

On stage, Brazilian author and theatre maker Carolina Bianchi brought reflections on performance and theatricality, on a tapestry of brutal stories of rapes and murders of women. Sexual trauma, resurrections of performance art and a glass of a rape drink that knocks Bianchi out on stage: it's all part of the tragic first chapter of this 'Dantesque' journey. 

KVS is particularly pleased to present you with the premiere of the second chapter of the trilogy - The Brotherhood - at the Kunstenfestivaldesarts on 25 May '25. In Part II, Bianchi delves into the complexity of some 'masculinity pacts', the origins of brotherhood between men and their violent mutual codes that perpetuate rape and sexual violence as part of their vocabulary. She uses the principles of contemporary theatre to articulate the possible paths for this discussion. Bianchi creates a dialogue between dramaturgy and trauma, autobiography, possession and radical poetry, the origins of misogyny and a sexuality in crisis.
