Nouveau procès Mawda : quels enjeux?
On Thursday 30 September 2021, a new trial in the Mawda case will be held before the Court of Appeal of Mons. The police officer who fired the shot that killed the three-and-a-half year old girl has appealed.
This trial will therefore be that of the police officer and, by extension, that of the police action and its responsibility in this dramatic case.
In order to better understand these issues and their implications, the Justice4Mawda collective hosts a meeting-debate with, on the one hand, actors involved in this case and, on the other hand, resource persons who will discuss the context of this case.
On 30 September the play Mawda means affection, by Marie-Aurore d'Awans and Pauline Beugnies will premiere at KVS. This meeting will also be an opportunity to discuss the play with the artistic team...
This meeting will be recorded as part of "Jours Heureux", the podcast of Présence et Action Culturelles. Interaction with the speakers is possible and encouraged.
