From December 10, 2024, to February 17, 2025, the exhibition Odyssée Intérieure by Victoria Okoka W'ekanga will be on display at the KVS Café (KVS BOX). Open daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a vernissage on December 10 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

In a world where technology is redrawing the boundaries of the human psyche, my art serves as a gentle act of rebellion against the invisible wall that has arisen between individuals and their inner worlds.

Each piece, conceived as an invitation to contemplation and introspection, explores the mind's plasticity and the ability of everyone to rewrite their inner story. Inspired by my research in neuroscience and cognition, I seek to reveal, through color and form, the silent transformations occurring in our brains and hearts as we reconnect with our deepest emotions. Neuroplasticity – the constant potential for transformation within our brains – becomes a field for artistic experimentation. Each painting, every line, carries the hope of breaking fixed patterns and unlocking a new perception of self.

Victoria OKOKA W’EKANGA (Magic Vic), a 22-year-old visual artist originally from Charleroi and now based in Brussels, uses her artistic practice as a way to explore the uncharted territories of her own psyche. For her, it has always been a means of connecting to the deeper layers of her human experience, offering her a better understanding of herself and the world around her. She believes that artistic expression creates an interface between the physical world (body - matter, the five senses) and the metaphysical world (mind - emotions, thoughts), giving rise to the forms and events we perceive in the material world. Through the use of dreamlike characters and vibrant colors, Victoria portrays moments of internal metamorphosis as passages to be experienced, understood, and ultimately released.
