'How do we, indigenous people, perceive death within Andean Cosmology?'

After death, we can exist both in the afterlife and among the living. "El Mankjapacha - Alajpacha - Akapacha" (the underworld, the celestial world, and the present world). Can souls communicate with us? Absolutely! Since ancient times, within our beliefs, customs, and traditions, they have communicated with us through the sacred coca leaf. Aymara will show you how it works. They can help us solve problems or declare judgment on those who wrong us. This is part of the Andean Cosmology.

AYMARA QUISPE

I was born in a beautiful garden called Ciudad de El Alto, Bolivia. I am Aymara Quispe, and I studied Fine Arts at the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés. I have been active in the arts since 2000, am a professional lawyer by trade, an artist by passion, and a Kallawaya by ancestral tradition. Since 2019, I have traveled to various countries in Europe to bring Bolivian art and culture, including The Hague, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Almere, Groningen, Leeuwarden, Bitgum, Brussels, and Spain. My project is called SANTUSA (Q.E.P.D.), which means "Rest in Peace." What happens to us, indigenous people, before and after death? How do we communicate with the living? And when do we come to walk and share food in the world of the living?
