Huseyin

Huseyin Umaysiz was born in Turkey in 1969 and grew up in the mountains. He was named after his grandfather. In ’99 he came to Belgium to seek political asylum.

Huseyin is an eagle, a theatre creator, and a calm person. His nose tingles when he walks into Yser underground station.

The podcast contains a Kurdish tongue twister, a play on words about territory: The filthy foul badger who on this land eats one basket of bird feed asks the filthy foul grey badger on the other side who eats one basket of bird feed every day: ‘Since when are you a filthy foul badger who eats one basket of bird feed every day?’
