Visit KVS all day long!
KVS, that's not only theatre, dance, performance, events,... Did you know that you can also come and buy a sandwich for lunch? Or that you can have your old appliances repaired at our café? In short: you can come to KVS all day long!
The KVS café: cosy hang-out spot in town
From Monday to Friday, from 10am to 4pm, you are welcome in our KVS Café. It is located on the first floor of KVS BOX (Arduinkaai 7) during the cold months.
Come and have a coffee, enjoy our delicious fresh sandwiches with bread from Brussels baker Charli, discover the baking skills of our chef Michelle, or drink something from our Brussels suppliers such as Brasserie iLLeGaaL or Atelier 40.
Daily newspapers, great wifi, and a book exchange: soon you will not be able to leave our café.
Visit an exhibition
This season we are also inviting Brussels artists to decorate our BOXBAR with new and exciting visual work. After your coffee in our café, or just a bit earlier for a show in KVS BOX, discover these exhibitions for free.
The exhibitions offer a complementary perspective to our stage programme and engage in dialogue around themes such as legacy, trauma, care and identity.
From 30 October to 5 December, discover Throw Me Back Into the Waters by Sofie Anny Nicea.
And from December 10, 2024, to February 17, 2025, the exhibition Odyssée Intérieure by Victoria Okoka W'ekanga will be on display.
Repair Café
Anyone who has ever been to a repair café in KVS knows how cosy it is. Have something to eat or drink, and in the meantime work with some volunteers to see if your old appliances or your bike can be repaired. We've even had a hairdresser over!
Two more repair cafes are already planned this autumn:
- On Thursday 23/10, from 16h till 19h
- On Thursday 18/12, from 16h till 19h
Guided visits
Did you know that the KVS was once an old armoury? And that much of the building burned down in 1955, only to rise from its ashes years later? If you want to know more about KVS and our history, KOREI's guided tours might be for you. A visit before and behind the scenes, with specific focus on architecture, theatre history and the link between the city of Brussels and KVS.
Be sure to keep an eye on our KVS Instagram page and the KVS Café page to keep up to date with everything at the KVS!
