What happens when someone survives?

The first chapter of the theatre trilogy Cadela Força by Brazilian writer and director Carolina Bianchi crosses various layers of time. Many of them filled with female corpses. Bianchi was so deeply shaken by the rape and murder of an artist who created a performance about her belief in human decency, that she started to weave a tapestry of stories around common narratives around rape and femicide. With her collective CARA DE CAVALO, she takes you on a journey – into the abyss, a hole in the middle of the desert, a deep- dive into a glass spiked with a date-rape drink – a descent straight into hell.

Carolina Bianchi is not a new name to KVS audiences. A first try-out of the first chapter of the Cadela Força trilogy at the 2021 Próximamente Festival earned her ample praise. After its world premiere at Festival d’Avignon in summer of 2023, we are proud to present this searing piece of theatre at KVS.
