Jason Dousselaere & Eva Binon

Aristotle designated catharsis as “purification (purging, cleansing) of feelings and emotions through an experience enacted by others, namely in drama/plays”. That is what Dousselaere and Binon aim for: enforcing an emotional purification or a happy rebirth for themselves and the audience through a whimsical stream of stories.

Eva Binon and Jason Dousselaere share a reverence for the glorious human, doomed to failure. Full of wonder, they look at a world that seems more and more dominated by humans. This realisation fills them with pride, fear and compassion. Their favourite answer is humour. In this new performance, they want to rethink the concept of catharsis.
