WIPCOOP gives space to new voices, stories, forms and languages in the performing arts. WIPCOOP stands for “Work In Progress Cooperative” by Mestizo Arts Platform – a year-round development initiative taking place in Brussels, Antwerp, Gent and Mechelen. WIPCOOP exists to make new artistic work visible, to generate dialogue and to match artists and organisations so that works in progress can grow and find an audience. Lila Magnin, Nina Muñoz, Cie Barhal and Jihan Imago each show 30 minutes of their work in progress to an audience of professionals and a curious audience.

This October, WIPCOOP’s unique energy will ignite KVS for the fourth year running. A number of Brussels-based artists and collectives will each present 30 minutes of work in development to an audience of professionals and curious individuals. This is followed by an opportunity to discuss their work with visiting dramaturgs, venues, producers and programmers. Audiences can also enjoy a series of pitches that introduce a range of other artistic initiatives happening across the city. 

WIPCOOP takes place during daytime and is free to attend. Alongside WIPCOOP itself, KVS further invites you to see two finished works (#WIPCOOPPLAYS), developed as part of former editions of WIPCOOP: on 29 October Milo Slayers and Yiphoon Chiem perform a double bill, while from 26 to 28 November Nadine Baboy returns with Désintégration Culturelle, which she premiered at KVS last season.

Salim Haouach, Mouss Sarr and Andrea Gallo Rosso will also present a Work In Progress on October 29 at Kaaistudio's.
