PATRICIA DOORS / Patricia Puertas Torrado (she/they), is a Colombian sound artist, DJ, and organizer based in London. In her live performances, she creates immersive, collective sonic environments using field recordings, archival sounds, binaural beats, synthesizers, contact microphones, and other innovative tools. Patricia began DJing in 2011 with her vinyl collection and currently hosts the monthly radio show Kasmik Flow on Netil Radio. She is also a co-founder of the experimental live cinema band The Loose Association of Cinema and Sound, which combines abstract soundscapes and moving images. Additionally, she co-founded SENSE Collective, a collaborative and educational audiovisual art, science, and technology platform that invites multidisciplinary artists and specialists to connect through their work. Their events explore intellectual, spiritual, scientific, and artistic intersections through live performances, workshops, lectures, installations, and interactive artworks.
Her latest work, Grieve into Love, is a collaborative performance that brings together artists, poets, singers, and musicians to explore Indigenous mourning traditions. The creation takes place both on the streets and in galleries, inviting the audience to engage in a Q&A while creating a safe space for crying, listening, singing, and connecting. This inclusive experience fosters community and care, using art as a medium for healing and transformation. The work addresses the urgent need for togetherness in a time of division. The project was first conceived during the ArtsAdmin LAB residency (2023) and showcased at the 198 Contemporary Arts and Learning Gallery in 2024. Patricia holds an MRes in Communication Design from the Royal College of Art (2018) and a BA in Graphic and Media Design from the London College of Communication (2017).
