Na het internationale succes van Malcolm X, Dear Winnie, en Who’s Tupac? bleef Jr.cE.sA.r toch ietwat bekaterd achter. De wereld veranderen bleek moeilijker dan gedacht. Wat kan theater betekenen in een verhitte wereld die davert van het bommengeweld? 

Wat kan dialoog teweegbrengen, in een decor waar cynisme de lach verdreef? In een stad waar angsten en verslavingen sterkere krachten lijken dan dat wat ons verbindt. In dit absurde universum dat door social media gedirigeerd wordt, is iedereen zijn eigen held geworden. Temidden van deze idiote idolatrie, breit Jr.cE.sA.r een sluitstuk aan zijn heldenreeks.

In R.I.S.A. (Reckless Idiots Seeking for Absolution) gaat een carnavaleske stoet aan spelers, schrijvers, muzikanten het verzet aan met de lach. Join the revolution with a smile. De wereld ligt aan onze glimlachende voeten, we schateren hem samen tegemoet.
