Book Of Dreams
For what seems like an eternity, concepts such as white superiority, eurocentrism and euro evolution are a reality, but only recently are they talked about in mainstream media. And that's not one day too early. What does Black history mean to artists? Zinnema drew up the conversation and directed the question last season to all artists from Brussels and surrounding communities under the concept I Have a Dream. The project proposals flowed in, an important season was developed.
Dorrie Wilson, Afro-American writer and researcher, observed the projects that were carried out and deepened herself in the matter and content.
Together with Zinnema, she wrote Book Of Dreams, in which light is shed on the question of how Brussels' artists decolonize their artistic practices.
